ACCA CAMP SPONSORSHIP

What is the ACCA Co-operative Youth Program? The ACCA’s Co-operative Youth Program at Goldeye Centre near Nordegg, Alberta provides an opportunity for young people to develop their leadership skills, learn how to develop their community while creating lasting friendships and having lots of fun.  The program runs throughout the summer in 7-day segments.  For more information on The ACCA Youth Program, check out their website at http://www.acca.coop/youthcamps.html

How does the REA fit into this? Each year CAREA sponsors two young people, one male and one female, to attend the program.  All that you need to do is to fill out an application form that can be picked up at our office.

Who can be sponsored? The only stipulation is that at least one of the applicant's parents or legal guardian must be a member in good standing, of CAREA at the time of application.

How do I apply? Nomination forms can be picked up at our office.  You can also download a copy of the form from our website by clicking (http://www.acca.coop/youthcamps.html).  The left two panels are filled out by the applicant and the panel on the right is to be filled out by the sponsor.  Once you have your portion filled out just return it to our office.

When do I have to apply by? The deadline for application is May 15th.  Call our office at 1-403-227-4011 or toll free at 1-888-211-4011 if you are interested.

How is the successful applicant chosen? If we receive more than one request for sponsorship, we will conduct a draw to determine the successful participant.  The successful participant may be asked to give a written or oral report about their week at Camp Goldeye.

CAREA would like to wish all applicants good luck in this and all their future endeavors.
