2012 Central Alberta Rural Electrification Association Limited Rate Schedule, effective Feb. 1, 2012:
Basic rate (rate 370)
Operating and monthly rates – 5 kVA: $50.27; 7.5 kVA: $62.40; 10 kVA: $71.95; 15 kVA: $91.76; 25 kVA: $128.68; >25 kVA: $3.61
Capacity charge per month: $3.61 per kVA
Demand services are billed at a minimum of 65 per cent of transformer capacity or 25 kVA, whichever is greater
Idle rate (rate 372)
The monthly billing charge is based on the transformer size.
Operating cost for a 3 kVA to 15 kVA transformer: $43.87; for a 25 kVA transformer: $50.27
Demand services are billed at 50 per cent of minimum monthly demand, rounded to the nearest actual transformer size
Grain dryer rate (rate 470)
Operating and monthly rates – 5 kVA: $41.13; 7.5 kVA: $48.49; 10 kVA: $53.68; 15 kVA: $64.47; 25 kVA: $83.96; >25 kVA: $1.90
Capacity charge per month: $1.90 per kVA
Grain drying service is available for use September through January only
Demand services are billed at a minimum of 50 per cent of transformer capacity or 25 kVA, whichever is greater
Irrigation rate (rate 570)
Operating and monthly rates – 5 kVA: $50.27; 7.5 kVA: $62.40; 10 kVA: $71.95; 15 kVA: $91.76; 25 kVA: $128.68; >25 kVA: $3.61
Capacity charge per month: $3.61 per kVA
Demand services are billed at a minimum of 50 per cent of transformer capacity or 25 kVA, whichever is greater
Load settlement is included in operating cost and minimum kVA billed on all services is based on a 35 amp or 5 kVA, for basic, grain dryer and irrigation rates.
Co-operative Energy Rate: Rate 370, 377, 470 and 570 - 0.0795
UFE and Line Loss added to Energy Billed: Rate 370, 377, 470 and 570 - 8.77 per cent
Sysa: Rate 370, 377, 470 and 570 - 0.030873
Miscellaneous services:
Per tree (three-year cycle): $1.01 per tree, per month (increased by COLA every April)
Brush per square meter: $0.335 per square meter, per month (increased by COLA every April)
Meter reads: $44 per read
Disconnect/reconnect charge: $94
Overtime reconnect charge: $188
Fee if lineman collects on site: $63
Charge to go on/off idle billing: $63
Terms and conditions of service: A late payment charge of 2 per cent per month is applied to all accounts that are past due.
